As I’m turning 25 soon, I don’t know what do I want for my birthday. Alhamdulillah, I am blessed with so many good things and really content with what God has given me.
Sadly, not everyone lives a privileged life as I do.
When I visited underprivileged families in Taman Medan last year, after seeing with my own eyes the condition that they lived in, it was only then I realised how serious the hunger and poverty issue right now, which was worsened by Covid-19.
It breaks my heart even more when the teacher shared with me that the children had to study with hunger because they have no money to buy food at the canteen and sometimes they have nothing to eat at home.
The underprivileged, they are not lazy or not working “hard enough”, in fact, they did everything they can to survive and feed their family. They are tested differently than us in this life and our privileged life is a test for us too, to see if we are doing our part to help those in need or not.
So, this year, my birthday wish is to provide food aid for underprivileged families and help them climb out of the poverty cycle. Besides distributing food boxes, Charity Right will provide these families with a one-year entrepreneurship program so they can create a sustainable income on their own eventually.
Blowing candles on my birthday cake will not make my wish come true, but your support will turn my wish into reality!
Show your support by donating and share with your friends & family about my fundraising campaign. If you donated RM 25 and above, you are entitled to a free French lesson (speaking and writing – beginner level: A1 & A2) for 60 minutes, as my thanks for your kindness <3
Kindly show me your donation receipt as a proof and we can communicate later to schedule the lesson.
Thank you for taking the time to read this 🙂
