In the heart of Jabaliyah Refugee Camp, Gaza, over 499 children walk to school with growling stomachs — not because they forgot breakfast, but because there is none. They attend Al-Rayyan School, one of the few safe havens left amid conflict, destruction, and poverty. It's more than just a school — it’s a shelter, a hope, and a lifeline.
But hunger still stands between these children and their future.

🎒 What These Children Face Every Day

Imagine trying to learn while your body aches from hunger.

In a refugee camp where over 110,000 people are crammed into just 1.4 km², food is a luxury. Many of these children have lost family members, homes, and stability — but they haven’t lost their desire to learn.

Despite everything, they still show up to school.

But without food, focus fades. Health declines. Attendance drops.

 🍲 Why School Meals Matter

Charity Right currently provides three meals per week to students at Al-Rayyan School. It’s not enough — but even that small effort makes a huge difference:

1) It motivates them to attend school.
2) It’s often their only proper meal of the day.
3) It gives them strength to learn, laugh, and grow.

These meals have become more than just food — they are a symbol of hope.
