Tarteel's School Offered Her a Lifeline

There is an urgent need for housing in Sudan, where one in three citizens must flee their homes in order to live. Fortunately, some kids have ideas for how to deal with that issue; they just need an opportunity.

Meet 14-year-old Tarteel, who lives with her mother and four siblings.

The family went without food without a father to help provide much-needed money. Tarteel found it challenging to maintain the necessary energy to concentrate on her academics and complete her education.

Food is her answer.

Tarteel now has the chance to grow up healthily, realise her goal of becoming an architectural engineer, aid in the restoration of her nation, and support her community thanks to regular and nourishing school meals.
